Welcome to An Indian in Exile and a selection of recipes from the book. The site is now only updated periodically; just before Easter 2008 my Mother died aged 88 and I have decided to keep the site going in memory of her. There will no longer be a monthly recipe selection as stocks of the book are running very low but we will feature a selection of recipes which will change from time to time as a tribute to her from all her family. We hope that you will enjoy trying them and look forward to receiving your comments. Simply go to the Index Page where you will find the book's Index. This will give you the entire contents of the book with a selection of recipes high lighted and available to use. Also, for those of you looking to take a break in the coming months, a new addition to the site is a link to our Cottage which is now available for holidays and short breaks. Situated at the foot of the Black Mountain and within easy reach of most of south and west Wales, Click Here for more detail. We still feature a small links page where we try to list stockists for the book and shops and web sites who can supply the ingredients used in the recipes featured in the book and on the web site. We also try to provide you with links which are, we hope, relevant to the site and to your interests. To this end we have decided, in response to several e mails, to feature a Travel Page, with links used by ourselves and featuring three of the biggest names in the travel business with world wide connections and enviable reputations. These companies have been chosen for their well established reputations, the selection of destinations, hotels and their competitive prices. They are able to provide you with everything you need for your trip to Malaysia, Asia or indeed anywhere else in the World you wish to visit. Try them, we are sure they can between them beat your existing quote !!!!
We hope that you will enjoy our web site and the recipes and we would like to thank those of you who bought the book over the last few months, the response has been very rewarding for us. The book, An Indian in Exile, is a compilation of traditional South Indian & Malay Family recipes handed down through my family from mother to daughter and finally put down on paper by my mother, Mrs. Kunjamma Mathew and available either direct from us or via Amazon.co.uk. We are now able to take payment for direct orders with credit or debit cards via
