A delicious sweet Indian treat !

Ingredients;

250 gms of rice
250 gms of brown sugar
1 large ripe banana
1 tsp ground cardamom/dry ginger and ground fennel mixture
pinch of salt
oil for frying

Method;

1. Prepare the ingredients as above
2. Soak the rice for three or four hours and then wash and drain
3. Mix all the ingredients together with the rice and blend to a thick coarse mixture
4. Set aside for thirty minutes
5. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and using a ladle pour in half a scoop of the mixture at a time into the oil
6. Fry each scoop for three to four minutes until golden brown on each side. (Like a thick small pancake).
7. Remove and drain, serve hot with syrup or cream or fruit ( or all three ! )
